Scotch broth

1 Mutton or Beef sone
2 pints cold water
2 oz. Barley
2 oz. Dried Peas
2 cups of diced carrots
2 cups of diced Turnip
½ cup of chopped leeks
Salt and pepper.

Method

  1. wash and soak the peas overnight
  2. Wash bone,a nd put into the pan with water
  3. add meat when water is hot.
  4. prepare and add the vegetables
  5. cook steadily for 2 hours
  6. season and serve.
