Summary: A fascinating graphics exhibition is now in place at Verdant Works. Publishers DC Thomson and Co Ltd in collaboration with Dundee Heritage Trust have produced this new exhibition which highlights the important aspects of Dundee's history, helped along by members of one of Scotland's most famous families, 'The Broons'.
The exhibition focuses on the city's economic and industrial history and covers medieval Dundee, transport, shipbuilding, whaling, famous people, jute, jam, journalism and Dundee today. There is also a section on the history of The Broons for those not familiar with the residents of No. 10 Glebe Street.

Summary: Submarines from six allied nations operated from Dundee during World War II. On September 17th 2009 a memorial will be unveiled to commemorate the six submarines lost on operations and the 288 servicemen "Still on Patrol".
This exhibition marking the ceremony will be open to the public from 28th September to 17th October, during opening hours.
