Search the Site
We all like to know where we are going, and most of us would love to know where we have been, where our ancestors lived, what they did and how they survived.
This site has been developed as the first port of call for people looking to research their family roots in the Angus & Dundee area. On the site you'll find information about, and links to, detailed local family history and genealogy research sources, archives offices, locally-based genealogists and others who can help you with your family history search. If you're planning a visit to walk in the footsteps of your ancestors, you'll also find plenty of information and tips to help you plan your visit, as well as information on events taking place across Angus & Dundee which will give you a real feel for the places where your ancestors lived and their way of life.
If you're seeking to get a taste of your ancestors' lives in Angus & Dundee, why not visit during our "Roots Festival" in 2008? This week-long programme of events will give a real flavour of Angus & Dundee's rich heritage and culture for visitors from across the globe coming back to their ancestral roots.
Or use our exciting new Roots Package Package to trace your ancestors.
